How do
I accept checks by phone?
All businesses can
accept
checks by phone with
CheckWriter Basic software. Check drafting is the most
popular way to accept checks from patients, clients, policy holders
and customers.
You can
accept
checks by phone from your via outbound or inbound
call. All direct marketing, telemarketing, sales, collections,
dating services, Multi Level Marketing, consumer credit counseling,
insurance companies, and insurance agents, plus just about any other
industry can accept checks by phone this way. Unlike all ACH
systems regulated by N.A.C.H.A. rules and guidelines, accepting
checks by phone with CheckWriter Basic is not.
Take the customer's name and/or company name, and address that is
printed on the check; ask for the check # (optional), the 9-digit
bank
routing
number it looks like this
|:123456789|:
and the account number. Make sure the customer agrees to the amount
of the check, and you are done.
After you accept a
check by
phone from your customer, you use software like
CheckWriter™
Basic to enter the information you gathered, then, create a
draft of the check, with
no
signature required.
CheckWriter™
Basic then prints a bank
draft
which you can deposit into any bank the same day with no fees. The
draft will be treated just like a check you receive through the mail
or over the counter. Simply endorse the back, and make your
deposit.
